Our Vision and Ethos

We are delighted to share our new Vision and Ethos with you. Following a collaborative process between children, staff, governors and our wider school family to create three options, the chosen Vision was voted for by our children.

As we move forward with the development of our school, our Vision and Ethos will guide us in our work to ensure we craft an excellent education that prepares our pupils for great futures.

In particular, staff strive to ensure that pupils develop a 'dignity of independence' in all that they do; an independence that will empower them to be the best learner they can be. From contributing to our school family and wider school community to sharing in the wide variety of opportunities on offer at Lodge Farm, we believe pupils will develop a strong connection to each other and our staff. This will create a sense of belonging to our school family that stays with pupils far beyond the time when they leave us!

Our aim is that you can tell when a young person is or has been a 'Lodgian' from their curiosity for learning and their respect for the community in which they are living.

As our work is always 'child - centred', please find below a message written by the Prime Minister, Olivia,  and Deputy Prime Minister, Rafael, introducing the Vision and Ethos. There is also a link to this on our website where you will find a video of Olivia and Rafael proudly introducing the Vision and Ethos.

We look forward to you sharing in the success of our school as we move forward with our new Vision and Ethos at the heart of our work.

Our Vision

We prepare our children for great futures.

We inspire and challenge them to be empowered learners who will become resilient and respectful members of communities.

Our Ethos

Together, as architects of an inclusive school family, we know and understand each child and place our PRIDE values at the heart of the work we do.

Our school is a place where children attend to their learning. This is because our work is underpinned by a curriculum that is crafted both for the world of today and tomorrow.

Ensuring a breadth of opportunities to foster the development of ‘the whole child’, we share in our intense commitment to ensuring that every child thrives in their education.
