Mrs Smith - Class teacher

Mrs Nation - Teaching Assistant
The children continue to work hard and are learning lots of new things. Try asking your children the following questions:
What did you find out today?
What did you find tricky?
What was your favourite part of learning today?
P.E is on Monday and Wednesday so please ensure that your child has a named P.E kit in school and have earrings removed on these days.
Home learning is sent home on a Thursday and must be completed and handed back on a Tuesday. This should be something the children need minimal support with as it follows on from what we've learnt in class.
Please continue to read with your child 5 times a week at home and answer any questions in their reading record with them.
We've learnt all about Africa. We have found out what it is like in Africa, the climate, culture and food. We loved our trip to Woburn. We saw loads of African animals plus a few more!
In maths we are focusing on problem solving. We're really good at using arithmatic (+ - x ÷ and fractions) so now we need to apply it to problems! This means sometimes having to try lots of different ways of working something out until we find the correct answer.
Spelling tests will be once a week and will be on a Friday. As usual you will receive your child's new list of words on a Friday and so they will now have one week to practise.
The children will have Mrs Jones and Mrs Nation on a Monday afternoon.
To support your child at home try playing some of these games.
